Custom Built Sky High Ranch Cabin with a Hot Tub!  It is the perfect cabin for one or two families. Sleeps up to 8!

This cabin is located in the quiet neighborhood of Sky High Ranch, five miles west of Bear Valley.  The cabin sits high on its lot making it very private. Bright and open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, a massive stone fireplace, wood interiors and flooring throughout and many sunlit windows with views of the forest. Owner has taken great care with amenities and style, including a well-appointed kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and a gas range.  The main level offers two bedrooms both have Queen sized beds.  On the upper level there are twin sized bunk beds in the loft and a King sized bed in the master bedroom.  There's a six person hot tub on the wrap-around deck and a sauna in the basement.  Large mudroom for all your ski gear. Common areas include a pond with Washoe Indian grinding holes. The community backs up to the Stanislaus National Forest land, so there are really nice places to explore off the beaten path. If you like the idea of a quiet, in the woods, but still easy to get to place, Sky High Ranch is it. **Note: no cell phone reception in this neighborhood. ** This cabin is accessible year round, but access is limited in winter to 4WD vehicles with clearance. Amenities and activities year round. Winter access with 4 wheel drive (carry chains) King bed in master bedroom; queen in bedroom; queen in bedroom; bunk bed (2 twins) in loft.

My son, his wife and my friend from New York City had a fabulous time. We have stayed at Bear Valley before but this was the most well-cared for and lovely cabin we have rented so far. Amazing stay! Beautiful and well maintained house with tons of useful kitchen equipment! Bear Valley staff was super helpful and friendly. We can't wait to come back. Would be nice if the house was better equipped with flashlights and candles in case of a power outage.

This is a beautiful house in the skyhigh subdivision about 5 miles from bear valley ski resort. Well staying in bear Valley property is much more convenient this is not a bad option if do you need room for a large family and friends and you can’t find accommodations in bear valley proper. Thanks for being such a great host. I know given the snow conditions it wasn’t easy to deal with us being there but we appreciate all the effort that Joel made to make us comfortable. All the best

Our family of 4 stayed at the house for 4 nights this summer, using it as a base to explore the area. We were pleasantly surprised when got there - some of the photos didn't do it justice. It was spacious, in great shape, well equipped. The location was great - a 1 minute walk to the nearby pond and hiking trails. Quiet, and just a minute drive from HWY 4, which got us to all the nearby Lake we wanted to explore on kayaks. The hot tub was nice to have as well, and there was even a Sauna room downstairs which we haven't even tried. The checkin/out with BVVR was quick and easy, and they were also very responsive and communicative before, so that was good too. Overall is definitely a keeper, and we hope to come back there soon!

We had a wonderful time at the Sky High Ranch 33 cabin. It fit out family perfectly!The cabin was beautiful and well kept. The kitchen was completely stocked and we did not have to bring a lot of things. The mud room worked really well for keeping the cabin clean and well kept while we were there. Overall this is a great cabin for a family vacation! The cabin is not too far from the Bear Valley Lodge or Bear Valley Ski Resort. We will definitely be using Bear Valley Vacation Rentals for another trip to the mountains.

The bank of south facing windows in the common areas make this a spacious and warm home. Nice deck, great kitchen, big hot tub. The sauna downstairs looks new. Bear Valley real estate makes renting easy. Thanks!

We had a great time at Sky High Ranch 33. However, I would recommend a few items for some routine maintenance: 1. Door to basement does not close 2. Several lights in kitchen are burned out. 3. Electrical wires in wall of great room need a fixture. 4. Wooden cutting board in kitchen is cracked and should be replaced. Also the description on VRBO.com says the place has an internet connection. It does not and the description should be updated.

Nice house, with great amenities, 4WD is not necessarily needed but you need to be a experienced comfortable driver with 2WD. The Driveway requires some winter skill.
